Oh Well" is a song first recorded by Fleetwood Mac in 1969, composed by vocalist and lead guitarist Peter Green. It first appeared as a Fleetwood Mac single in various countries in 1969 and subsequently appeared on revised versions of that year's Then Play On album and the Greatest Hits album in 1971. It was later featured on the 1992 boxed set 25 Years – The Chain, on the 2002 compilation album The Best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac as well as on the 2018 compilation 50 Years - Don't Stop.
Fleetwood Mac is the tenth studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in July 1975 by Reprise Records. It was the band's second eponymous album, the first being their 1968 debut album. Among Fleetwood Mac fans, the album is often referred to as The White Album. This is the first Fleetwood Mac album to feature Lindsey Buckingham as guitarist and Stevie Nicks as vocalist, after Bob Welch departed the band in late 1974

Fleetwood Mac’s second album M. onderful was also released in 1968. The album’s line up included the original four of Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. However, the band also added a horn section consisting of two alto saxophone players and two tenor saxophone players. Fleetwood Mac’s third album Then Played On, is represented on the Top 10 Essential Fleetwood Mac songs list by the inclusion of the great song Oh Well. The album was released in 1969 by Warner Brothers’ Reprise records. The non LP hit single Oh Well, was not on the original release of the album. However, the label reissued the album later in 1969 and included the hit single Oh Well. Their third album displayed significant changes for the band. Although the blues element still played a large role in their sound, the album featured no covers of famous blues songs.
